Andrea Themistou Consultant, Deloitte UK, Cyber Risk Services

Andrea is a Consultant in the Cyber Risk Services Service Line of Deloitte UK Technology Consulting. She is currently a member of the Deloitte UK Identity and Access Management (IAM) team and was trained in various market leading IAM solutions such as SailPoint, ForgeRock, Okta, RSA, Courion. She was involved in several client projects with various responsibilities including IAM Strategy and Roadmap development, IAM maturity assessment and vendor evaluation, IAM solution design, client training and project handover to Business as Usual. Additionally, she is a Certified Lead Auditor and Lead Implementor of the security standard ISO27001:2013.

Andrea has a strong technical background obtained during her MEng Computing degree at Imperial College London. She also has experience in software engineering and had undertaken a variety of web development, security analysis and technology consulting roles for private customers.


Azeem Aleem Director Advanced Cyber Defence, RSA

Azeem is a Director for the Advanced Cyber Defense Services Practice – EMEA. In this capacity Azeem is responsible for overall professional services engagement for Global Incident Response/Discovery (IR/D), breach readiness, remediation, SOC/CIRC redesign and proactive computer network defense. Prior to RSA, Azeem was the Principal Lead for E-crime for the University of Portsmouth and earlier, led cyber security consultancy services for advanced threats to the law enforcement agencies, public sector and private financial services. Azeem has made frequent appearance on regional television and radio programmes as an expert on cyber threats. He possesses over 10 years of combined experience in developing technical staff and programs in, e-crime investigations, Incident Response, Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) defense, Cyber Threat Intelligence, operations and projects.


Demetris Papapetrou Information Security Specialist / Training Instructor, QSecure

Demetris Papapetrou is an information security professional with 18 years of experience in information security and risk management. He has acted as a project leader or key specialist for a number of projects at major corporations both in Cyprus and abroad. George Michaelides Comissioner of Electronic Communications and Postal Regulation

Ilias Chantzos Senior Director EMEA Global CIP and Privacy Advisor Government Affairs, Symantec Corporation

Ilias Chantzos is Senior Director of Symantec’s Government Affairs programmes for Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) and Global Advisor for Critical Infrastructure and Data Protection. Chantzos represents Symantec before government bodies, national authorities and international organisations advising on public policy issues with particular regard to IT security and data risk management and availability. Prior to this role in Symantec Chantzos managed the Symantec Government Affairs Programs for EMEA and Asia Pacific Japan (APJ).

Before joining Symantec in 2004, Chantzos worked as legal and policy officer in the Directorate General Information Society of the European Commission focusing on information security policy. He covered the council of Europe Cybercrime Convention and the Framework Decision on Attacks against Information Systems. In addition, he managed a number of EU legislative initiatives relevant to information society and security, including directives on Privacy on Electronic Communications, the Data Retention Directive and the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA). He also represented the European Commission in various international debates and conferences.

Chantzos holds a law degree from the University of Thessaloniki and a Masters degree in Computers and Communication Law from the University of London and is a member of the Athens Bar. He served as Chair of the Executive Board of TechAmerica Europe and is appointed member of the Permanent Stakeholders Group of the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA) and at Europol’s European Cybercrime Center (EC3) Advisory Board. Marta Janus Malware Researcher, Kaspersky Lab

Marta joined Kaspersky Lab in 2009 as a Threat Analyst for the Polish office and became part of the Global Research and Analysis Team in the beginning of 2010. For almost 3 years she was based in Poland and responsible for monitoring the local threat landscape. Currently she is based in London, UK, where she works on a position of a Malware Researcher. She is focused mostly on reverse-engineering and in-depth analysis of contemporary advanced threads. Vassilios Katos Head of Computing, Bournemouth University

Prof. Vasilis Katos is Head of Computing at Bournemouth University. Prior to this post he was Associate Professor at Democritus University of Thrace in Greece and Principal Lecturer and course tutor for the MSc in Forensic IT at the University of Portsmouth in the UK.

He obtained a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from Democritus University of Thrace in Greece, an MBA from Keele University in the UK and a PhD in Computer Science (network security and cryptography) from Aston University. He is a certified Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI). He has worked in the Industry as Information Security Consultant and served as an expert witness in Information Security for a criminal court in the UK and a misdemeanor court in Greece. Vasilis’ research is in the area of digital forensics and incident response. He has participated in 2 FP7 and 3 nationally funded research projects. He has participated in a number of national and international cyberdefence exercises; indicatively, he led the DUTH team during the cyberprotector 2014 exercise, achieving the 1st position among 7 teams. He has over 80 publications in journals, book chapters and conference proceedings and serves as a referee on several reputable conferences and journals (for example, IEEE Communications Letters, Computers & Security, Information and Computer Security), has coordinated and delivered a number of workshops, both in an academic and a security professionals context.
